Canon vs Non-Canon

Sometimes we work on speed runs that we post...and then just want to forget. Or others just ignore. So we've established a list of runs that are canon and those that are not (is that really possible in real life? Yes.)

What defines a canon run?

1. If the run is posted on Speed Demos Archive (no matter how good or bad the run is), it's officially Canon.
2. If it's a run that is seriously worked on and not rejected from SDA (either in Needs Verification, Accepted, or In Verification), it is also Canon.
3. A game is a serious canidate for an SDA submission. Usually though it will be non-Canon if it's only in progress and not submitted.

Why would a run be removed from Canon?

1. The runs for a game were horribly done. (I.E. I want to forget these runs.)
2. The game's category (or game choice) was poorly thought out.
3. The game isn't removed, but just hasn't been officially added to the IMAMYTH Colosseum Canon yet.

This page will explain why I've removed games from the IMAMYTH Colosseum Canon.

Asteroids (PS1): Game was very poorly executed, especially for a segmented run.
Bubble Bobble Plus: Nothing seriously executed...yet.
Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles: Was mainly a PSP Speed Running Experiment.
Clock Tower 3 (100%): Bad execution, but mostly poor category choice.
Kirby Canvas Curse: Game is still an experiment in DS Recording. This game may be put back in Canon later, as direct feed DS recording equipment is coming in the near future to SDA members.
Klonoa (Wii): Poor execution on runs to date.
LostWinds: This was mainly an experiment.
Ninja Spirit: Some bad execution (and thus rejected from SDA)
Power Rangers: Dino Thunder: This game was bad.
Star Soldier (PSP): Debatible game choice. This game may be put back in Canon later.
Star Soldier R: Very bad game choice.
